The Jets – Crush On You

Released in 1986, “Crush On You” was the second single from The Jets’ self-titled debut album and became one of the group’s best-known songs in the UK. Written by Jerry Knight and Aaron Zigman, the track combined polished pop, R&B and dance influences, creating the bright, energetic sound that was becoming a defining feature of mid-1980s chart music.

The song captures the excitement and nervousness of developing a crush on someone, with its playful lyrics and infectious chorus expressing the rush of young romance.
