Fresh 4Fresh 4 (also known as Fresh Four) was a pioneering British music collective formed in South Bristol in the mid-1980s. Comprising members Krust, Flynn, Suv, and Judge, the group became a defining foundation of the globally recognized “Bristol Sound.”

They skyrocketed to mainstream prominence in 1989 with their iconic, Smith & Mighty-produced cover of Rose Royce’s “Wishing on a Star” featuring singer Lizz E. The track reached the UK Top Ten, brilliantly fusing heavy basslines, hip-hop beats, and soulful vocals. Following industry disagreements, their debut album went unreleased, and members later became legendary pioneers in the drum and bass movement.
