Whitney HoustonWhitney Houston (1963–2012) was an iconic American singer and actress who became one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, rather than a band. Renowned as “The Voice,” she revolutionized the pop and R&B landscape with her immense, three-octave vocal range and powerful gospel-infused delivery.

Houston skyrocketed to global superstardom in the 1980s with consecutive number-one hits like “Saving All My Love for You” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” She made film history starring in The Bodyguard (1992), recording its legendary soundtrack featuring her definitive, record-breaking anthem, “I Will Always Love You.”
