GenesisGenesis is a legendary English rock band formed in Godalming, Surrey, in 1967. They became one of the most successful and influential groups in music history, masterfully evolving across two distinct eras.

In the 1970s, fronted by Peter Gabriel, they pioneered progressive rock with complex arrangements and theatrical live shows. Following Gabriel’s departure, drummer Phil Collins stepped up as lead vocalist, steering the band toward a highly accessible, synth-driven pop-rock sound. This shift triggered monumental global success in the 1980s and 1990s with multi-platinum albums like Invisible Touch, securing their legacy with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
