The M*A*S*HM*A*S*H was a legendary American television series that aired on CBS from 1972 to 1983. Adapted from the 1970 feature film, the acclaimed comedy-drama followed a team of military doctors and support staff stationed at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War.
Ensemble-led by Alan Alda as the cynical yet compassionate Captain “Hawkeye” Pierce, the series masterfully blended dark sitcom humour with poignant anti-war commentary. M*A*S*H became a monumental cultural phenomenon; its 1983 series finale drew 106 million viewers, remaining the most-watched scripted television broadcast in American history.
