Dollar – O L’Amour

Released in 1987, “O L’Amour” was a comeback single by Dollar, the British pop duo of David Van Day and Thereza Bazar. Originally written by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell of Erasure, the song gave Dollar a fresh connection with the sophisticated synth-pop sound of the late 1980s. Produced by the Stock, Aitken & Waterman team, the recording combined electronic pop with the polished dance production that had become a defining feature of the British charts.

The song captures the excitement and uncertainty of romantic attraction, with its French title and instantly memorable chorus giving it a playful continental flavour.
